⚠️ Informational nature

The data are informational and continuously updated. Use of the data is at the user's own risk. The Society accepts no responsibility for any inaccurate or incomplete information.

🚫 Private property

Objects shown on the map may be located on private land. Every visitor must respect private property and obtain the owner's permission before entering private land.

Data source The register is based on systematic field work by ZDRM members during 2013–2024. Each object was documented in the field with a GPS location, photographic documentation and descriptive data. Data is compared against archival material — particularly Italian and Yugoslav military archives, cadastral maps and topographic sheets from the Rapallo border period. The database is regularly updated.

LiDAR data — hosting provided by ZDRM

Elevation model visualisation for Slovenia, Italy and Croatia

The web map provides raster LiDAR layers (SVF — Sky-View Factor) for the entire Rapallo border area: Slovenia, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Croatia. The data allow identification of fortification remains and terrain structures that cannot be detected with conventional base maps. The LiDAR data are hosted on ZDRM's own servers — this entails ongoing infrastructure and maintenance costs.
